Yesterday, the lead Republican Tax writer, Kevin Brady, announced that the Adoption Tax Credit would be included in the House tax reform bill. Bill helped lead the restoration effort by writing Mr. Brady and building support among his fellow Republicans in the House.
Bill released the following statement after the announcement regarding the Adoption Tax Credit was made:
West Michigan has a strong history of opening its doors to children in need of a forever home. If a loving family wants to welcome a child into their home, the federal government should encourage the removal of financial barriers to adoption. I believe our tax code should not only encourage but embrace this pro-life, pro-adoption, and pro-family position. I applaud Chairman Brady for restoring this important provision to our tax reform legislation.
