Bill Votes To Cut Spending, Reduce The Size of Government, and Protect Life

On Thursday, Bill supported legislation to enact conservative priorities, eliminate wasteful government spending, and protect life. Bill explaining why he voted for this important legisltion.

“For years, some in Washington have worked to prevent Congress from using the power of the purse to right-size government. This week, the House took a major step forward by completing the appropriations process for the first time in nearly a decade. By following regular order, the House was able to eliminate wasteful programs and rein in bureaucratic overreach by agencies across the federal government, while ensuring important programs such as the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative are fully funded. Additionally, this bill protects the sanctity of life by defunding Planned Parenthood and prohibits the federal government from discriminating against Americans who object to participating in an abortion.”
