First of all, thank you everyone for your support! I want to especially thank the volunteers who made phone calls, knocked on doors, and spent election day working at polling locations across West Michigan.
Republicans had a great night, not only here in Michigan, but across the entire county. Republicans will soon have their largest majority in the House since World War II. There are still a few races to be decided, but it is very likely that Republicans will be elected to 247 out of the 435 voting seats in the House.
This month’s elections also means big changes for the Senate. Come January, Republicans will also have the majority in the Senate, which means Harry Reid will no longer be the Majority Leader and the Senate can actually function again.
I am very hopeful that under Republican leadership, Congress will be able to send legislation to the President’s desk that will make it easier for the private sector to create jobs and grow the economy. Be sure to stay to keep checking the website as well as Facebook for updates!
